And with National Kidney Services (NKS), you don’t even need to leave your house to get your used items picked up at no cost to you because NKS has established a comprehensive donation pickup service that serves the entire Piedmont Triad area.

NKS is a charitable organization in Charlotte that collects used clothing and a wide variety of household items such as cookware, tableware, decorative items, collectibles, electronics, small furniture, small appliances, and much more. The proceeds generated from your contributions go directly to the National Kidney Foundation, which is a nonprofit health organization devoted to reducing the number of people currently afflicted with chronic kidney disease. The numbers are startling – more than 26 million people in the United States alone suffer from this illness – but with NKF’s programs for health education, kidney disease awareness, and early detection, we hope that we can make a real difference in the fight against kidney disease.

So, whether you have clothes to donate in Charlotte or an antique dish set that you’d like to give away in Greensboro, we gladly welcome a wide variety of used items. To arrange a complimentary donation pickup, simply call 866-408-6464 or fill out our online form. Your name and phone number will be added to our regular donation call list, and an NKS representative will contact you approximately every four to six weeks to inform you about upcoming donation pickups in your area. If you would prefer to drop off your donations, bring them to any Value Village thrift department store in your area. Through our Value Village Partnership Program, these local businesses have agreed to accept your tax-deducible* donations on our behalf.
